Get Smart Content, a leading multi-channel personalization platform, today announced that it has raised a round of funding worth $3.5 million. The round was led by Origin Ventures with participation by Chicago Ventures and Virgo Capital.

This funding comes as Get Smart Content reports strong revenue growth and a growing roster of progressive, enterprise B2B clients, including HP, Siemens, Iron Mountain and Rockwell Automation. In the past year, Get Smart Content has also deepened relationships throughout the B2B marketer’s technology stack with key partners like Oracle Marketing Cloud and LinkedIn, as well as strategic ‘Connections’ to industry-leading platforms like BlueKai, Demandbase, Marketo, salesforce.com and others.

The company plans to use the capital to expand its sales team targeting enterprise and mid-market customers, as well as new hires in customer support and services. The funding will also support continued innovation of the Get Smart Content technology platform to help B2B marketers unify their many data and marketing investments and achieve 1:1 targeting throughout the buyer’s journey, across channels.

“Get Smart Content is already powering the content personalization of some of the biggest B2B brands, and the company has a bold vision for the future — a vision that goes well beyond A/B testing and personalization to enable optimized, cross-channel, content-driven experiences,” said Brent Hill, partner at Origin Ventures. “This is a massive market, and we’re excited to put our support behind a leader with vision and momentum.”

“The greatest validation of Get Smart Content is our clients’ success, and we’re fortunate to keep adding leading enterprise brands,” said Jim Eustace, founder and CEO of Get Smart Content. “Most marketers know they’re underutilizing their data to engage their customers and prospects. Get Smart Content enables a level of automatic content targeting — far beyond simple A/B testing — that makes personalization easy and provides high ROI.

Eustace adds, “This new funding allows us to immediately ramp up sales to grab an even greater share of this growing market.”

Get Smart Content has raised just over $6.4 million to date.
